ORIX Aviation: Recent Fleet Transaction Activity

ORIX Aviation has continued its fleet expansion through the first quarter of 2013 with the recent purchase of a 2013 vintage A320-200 with MSN 5477 and its delivery to Avianca (Columbia). The A320-200 is the first Sharklet equipped A320 to be delivered to a Latin American carrier, enabling a reduction in fuel burn and CO2 emissions as well the flexibility of additional range or payload capacity.
This is the second aircraft ORIX Aviation has on lease to Avianca after the purchase and delivery to the airline of a 2012 vintage A320-200 with MSN 5360 in November of last year. A 2000 vintage A320-200 with MSN 1196 was acquired in March 2013, this aircraft is currently on lease to US Airways.

ORIX Aviation is also pleased to announce the addition of four B737-800s to its fleet. Two 2013 vintage aircraft with MSNs 31165 and 33228 were acquired in March and are on lease with American Airlines. Another B737-800 aircraft is currently on lease to Ryanair, a 2012 vintage with MSN 40287, while the fourth aircraft, a 2010 vintage with MSN 37092, is on lease with Westjet. This is the seventh aircraft ORIX Aviation has on lease with Westjet.

ORIX Aviation has had a similarly active start to the New Year in the sales market, with the sale of two B737-800s in January 2013. The aircraft were 2007 and 2012 vintage and were sold with leases attached.

In addition, during first quarter 2013 ORIX Aviation completed the sale of four early 1990s vintage B737 Classics, comprising two -500 series and two -300 series aircraft.
