AVIANCA LAUNCHES NEW NONSTOP BOGOTÁ – SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO SERVICE

Avianca will open its Bogotá-San Juan de Puerto Rico route on July 17th, with three direct flights per week without stops.

In line with its expansion plan to widen its network of routes and improve the number of products and services on offer to travelers, Avianca will start operations of three nonstop flights per week on the Bogotá-San Juan-Bogotá route beginning July 17th, 2013.

The flights from Colombia on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday will land at the main airline terminal on the island in the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport, located at 5 kilometers to the southeast of San Juan, recognized as the premier airport in the Caribbean due to the size of its international operations and cargo traffic.

Avianca’s President Fabio Villegas Ramírez said: “Avianca is delighted to give travelers access to this new destination, which is world-renowned due to its famous attractions which are perfect places for rest and pleasure. We hope that this route achieves the desired effect given the growth of the tourism and business market between Latin America and the Caribbean”.

Thanks to the convenient flight schedules travelers from the Caribbean will now have access to more efficient connections from Bogotá to Panama, Caracas, Quito, Guayaquil, Lima, Río de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Santiago de Chile, Buenos Aires, and also to the principal cities of Colombia.
