Jazeera Airways reports March 2014 Operational Performance

March 2014 highlights:
Kuwait-Amman route: 22% increase in flown passengers from March 2013
Kuwait-Jeddah route: 13% increase in flown passengers from March 2013
Kuwait-Bahrain route: 5% increase in flown passengers from March 2013

Freedom Town, Kuwait, May 18, 2014: Jazeera Airways released its March 2014 Operational Performance Report today, which shows a continued increase in flown passengers on routes serving Amman, Jeddah, and Bahrain, and an on-time performance of 95.95%, as tracked by independent US-based OTP tracker, FlightStats.

Jazeera Airways issues its Operational Performance Report on both a monthly and annual basis. The Report is based on official figures and statistics from Kuwait’s Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGCA).

The airline continues to lead with a 41% market share on the Kuwait-Amman route for the seventh month in-a-row against three other carriers serving the route. Flown passengers on the route increased by 22% from March 2013.

On the route serving Jeddah, Jazeera Airways saw a 13% increase in flown passengers from March 2013, and grabbed an 18% market share on the Kuwait-Jeddah route.

Flown passengers on the Kuwait-Bahrain route increased in March 2014 by 5%. The airline grabbed a 10% market share on the route.

Jazeera Airways serves six cities in Egypt. The airline led on the route serving Luxor with a 69% market share, and grabbed a 24% market share on the Kuwait-Cairo route, an 18% market share on the Kuwait-Alexandria route, a 34% market share on the Kuwait-Assiut route, a 40% market share on the Kuwait-Sohag route, and a 7% market share on the route serving the seasonal destination of Sharm El Sheikh.

The March 2014 report also shows that Jazeera Airways grabbed a 13% market share on the Kuwait-Dubai route, a 9% market share on the Kuwait-Riyadh route, and was the leading airline serving the Kuwait-Al Najaf route with a 40% market share.

The airline also grabbed a 28% market share on the Kuwait-Beirut route, a 6% market share on the Kuwait-Istanbul route, and a 21% market share on the Kuwait-Mashhad route.
