Transaero Airlines Carried Out Its First Flight between Moscow and Sochi with Boeing 747-400

Moscow, June 16, 2014 – On June 15, 2014, Transaero Airlines for the first time in its history carried out the flight on the Moscow-Sochi route with Boeing 747-400 aircraft that has the largest passenger capacity in Russia and CIS.

The UN 2141/2142 departed from Moscow Vnukovo airport and landed in Sochi at 09.40am. The passenger load factor of the inbound and outbound flights performed with the aircraft fitted with nearly 450 seats exceeded 90%. In total, on these two flights the airline carried nearly 850 people, setting a new record for daily passenger traffic on the Moscow-Sochi-Moscow route.

The elaborate cooperation between Transaero’s personnel and the staff of Sochi airport allowed servicing the double-decker within the scheduled time limits. This reaffirmed the high professional level of all services of Sochi airport as well as their ability to receive aircraft of the highest passenger capacity.

Within its 2014 summer flight program, Transaero Airlines will perform flights between Moscow and Sochi with Boeing 747-400 aircraft from June 15 to September 7. Operating Boeing 747-400 aircraft on this route will allow Transaero to fully satisfy its passengers’ demand for a comfortable way to travel to the famous Russian resort.

Transaero is the only operator of Boeing 747-400 aircraft in Russia, the CIS and Eastern Europe. The airline has fitted its Boeing 747-400 aircraft with satellite connection to provide access to high speed broadband Internet on board.
