Warsaw, August 27, 2014 – LOT shows again how to manage fleet effectively. 
SP-LRA, the first Dreamliner delivered to LOT’s fleet has already completed 1,000 flights. The last one, marked SP-LRF and called “Franek” by the passengers, has beaten the record of monthly flight hours. In July, “Franek” spent more than 500 hours in air!

The entire fleet of LOT’s Dreamliners have already completed over 4,200 flights and spent over 28 000 hours in air – enough to fly 560 time around the Earth. Thanks to that, LOT has found itself among the leading airlines which use the Dreamliner fleet most effectively.

- The operating data of LOT’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircrafts prove that those are modern and increasingly reliable airplanes which are gradually recovering from their early ‘childhood’ problems. They also prove that we can manage our fleet very effectively. The Dreamliners operate mainly on scheduled flights to the USA, Canada and China, but they also operate charter flights, particularly in winter, when they are less used on regular routes due to the lower season – says Ewa Kołowiecka, COO LOT Polish Airlines.

Dreamliners in LOT’s livery operate on everyday flights to New York, Chicago, Toronto and Beijing. From the past winter, thanks to collaboration with two largest Polish tour operators, Boeings 787 Dreamliner operate also on charter flights to the most popular exotic tourist destinations in the world. This winter, they will fly among others to Dominican Republic, Cuba, Thailand, Mexico, Vietnam and South Africa.

Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircrafts are the world’s most modern aircrafts being used. With advanced technology they offer reduced fuel consumption, improved passenger comfort and are highly appreciated by crews.

Technical solutions not available so far in other airplanes which add to the passenger’s comfort include reduced cabin pressure, more humid air or LED lighting that imitates the times of a day.

LOT offers three unique travel classes on boards of the Dreamliner: LOT Business Class with modern flat bed seats and a guarantee of culinary experiences as in a top-class restaurant; LOT Premium Economy Class with increased space between seats and a rich, varied menu, and LOT Economy Class with comfortable seats with individual entertainment systems, headrest and footrests.

At present, LOT operates on six Dreamliners. The following two aircrafts will be delivered in 2016 and 2017.
