Transaero Airlines successfully passes annual EASA audit

Moscow, December 30, 2014 – Transaero Airlines has successfully passed the annual audit Part-145 of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

The Part-145 certificate qualifies the airline to perform maintenance of its aircraft registered in the European Union.

The audit was carried out at the airline’s two base airports – Moscow’s Vnukovo and Domodedovo. Within the audit, Transaero has expanded its capacities to open new line stations in Russia and perform repairs of certain aircraft components and IFE systems.

The EASA audit confirmed the high standards of Transaero’s maintenance of its aircraft, as well as the compliance of the airline’s MRO with the requirements of the European aviation authorities. The audit establishes that Transaero maintains rigorous control over the technical state of its aircraft.

Mikhail Korobovich, Deputy CEO-Head of Technical Department, Transaero Airlines, said: “We are satisfied with the successful results of the regular audit of the European Aviation Safety Agency. It is of great importance that Transaero steadily expands its capacities to carry out in-house MRO services and provide engineering training. This allows the airline to use its resources with maximum efficiency and achieve significant savings.”

In 2012 Transaero received the Part-147 Certificate to provide technical staff training. It allows the airline’s Aviation Training Center to conduct training of specialists providing MRO servicing of Boeing aircraft in full compliance with EU regulations, as well as international and domestic aviation standards.
