Avianca Holdings And Its Subsidiaries Carried More Than 2.3 Million Passengers In December 2014
BOGOTA, Colombia—(BUSINESS WIRE)—In December, the subsidiary companies of Avianca Holdings S.A. (NYSE: AVH) (BVC: PFAVH) (*) transported 2,387,627 passengers, up 10.6% compared to December 2013. Capacity, measured in ASKs (available seat kilometers), increased 7.0%, while passenger traffic, measured in RPKs (revenue passenger kilometers), increased 5.9%. The load factor for the month was 80.4%.
Domestic markets in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador
In December, the subsidiary airlines of Avianca Holdings transported within these markets a total of 1,430,836 travelers, up 16.6% compared to December 2013. Capacity (ASKs) increased 16.7%, while passenger traffic (RPKs) increased 13.7%. As a result, the load factor for the month was 77.0%.
International markets
In December, the affiliated airlines of Avianca Holdings transported 956,791 passengers on international routes, up 2.6% compared to December 2013. Capacity (ASKs) increased 4.6%, while passenger traffic (RPKs) increased 4.1%. The load factor for the month was 81.4%.
