AVIANCA CARGO RECEIVES FIFTH A-330F

Avianca Cargo received its fifth Airbus 330 freighter from Toulouse, registration N335QT. The aircraft performed its first flight on the Medellin – Miami route. With the addition of this new aircraft the company strengthens its cargo route network and will replace its Boeing 767-300 model, leaving the fleet this February.

With a standardized fleet the company seeks to optimize cargo operations, strengthening maintenance processes, crew scheduling, ground support, and packaging and stacking procedures. At the same time Avianca Cargo seeks to offer their customers improved itineraries with increased capacity during the peak seasons in every region. About this new addition Víctor Mejía, Vice-president of Avianca Cargo, said: “the company aims to increase its participation in the flower market of Medellin, Bogota and Quito, while keeping our participation in other markets of South America.”
