Transaero Aviation Training Center Expands its EASA Part 147 Certificate

Moscow, February 13, 2015 – Transaero Aviation Training Center has successfully passed the regular audit proving its compliance with the EASA requirements. The company has expanded its Part 147 Certificate by supplementing it with a new Boeing 737 Classic and Boeing 737NG type practical training.

The expansion of Part 147 Certificate has become a part of the Transaero’s programme aimed at optimizing and enhancing the airline’s operations. Now airline’s specialists can get in-house training courses, which used to be delivered by foreign specialists. This will provide for significantly cutting costs denominated in foreign currency.

It is expected that by the end of March 2015 the Aviation Training Center will pass another audit to further expand it Part 147 Certificate allowing it to provide theoretical and practical aircraft maintenance training for Boeing 747 aircraft.

The regular international audits are the integral part of the airline’s Safety Management System. Transaero was a pioneer in Russia to introduce Safety Management System. Transaero is the only Russian carrier to be named among the top 20 safest airlines in the world by the research center JACDEC.

Transaero Aviation Training Center launched its services in 1994. It was the first private civil aviation training center in Russia. In 1999 Transaero Aviation Training Center was certified to provide training for foreign aviation specialists. Currently, the center offers 140 different training, professional retraining and advanced training courses.
