MEXICO CITY, April 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Volaris (NYSE: VLRS and BMV: VOLAR), the ultra low cost Mexican airline with the most extensive route network servicing Mexico and the US, announced today the launch of new international service connecting the city of Leon in Guanajuato with Los Angeles, California. With four flights a week, the new service is scheduled to initiate operations on June 8, 2015.

Blankenstein explained the new service becomes the fifth destination to be operated from Leon, Guanajuato. “Volaris is in fact the carrier operating the greatest number of routes between Mexico and the US,” he said. “We service 136 routes to 59 outstanding destinations on both sides of the border, and from Leon we operate 40 flights per week reiterating our commitment to providing this iconic city with greater domestic and international connectivity”.
