In May 2015 Transaero Airlines carried 1.226 million passengers, demonstrating a 7% growth of its passenger traffic compared to the same period of 2014.

Transaero keeps the leading position in terms of passenger load factor among the top five Russian carriers. In May 2015 Transaero’s passenger load factor amounted to 84%, which is a 2% increase over the same month last year.

The growth of the passenger traffic was recorded across all Transaero’s classes of service.

The highest passenger traffic growth was recorded on routes to such destinations as Simferopol, Sochi, Anapa, Kaliningrad, Beijing, and the resorts of Egypt.

Transaero also set a new record in May in terms of number of transit passengers. The growth of transit passenger traffic amounted to 137% compared to the same period of the previous year. This was supported by the airline’s structure of the commercial schedule, which provides for convenient connections on a large number of routes, as well as the balanced approach to offering attractive tariffs for passengers. Amid a decline in the presence of foreign carriers in the Russian market, there is an increase in number of foreign passengers and a positive trend towards an increasing demand for international transportation in general.
