Subang,19 June 2015: Malaysia Airlines (MAS) today officially announced the appointment of Dato’ Sabrina Albakri Abu Bakar as Company Secretary effective 23 July 2015.

In announcing the appointment, MAS CEO Christoph Mueller said, “On behalf of the management team, I am pleased to welcome Dato’ Sabrina to Malaysia Airlines. Dato Sabrina brings over 22 years of experience in corporate roles within the legal and company secretarial functions. She will be fundamental in our ability to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders, as well as manage and coordinate our obligations as a responsible corporation.”

Dato’ Sabrina is presently Group Head, Legal, Secretarial and Regulatory Counsel in Pos Malaysia Berhad and is a licensed Company Secretary. She started her career as a legal practitioner before becoming an in-house Legal Advisor and Company Secretary in three public listed companies. Prior to Pos Malaysia, Dato’ Sabrina was General Manager, Legal and Secretarial at Sapura Technology Berhad.

Dato’ Sabrina holds a Bachelor in Law (LLB Hons) and an Executive Masters in Law (LLM) from the International Islamic University Malaysia. She is an affiliate member of the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA).
