Icelandair Group: Traffic Data September 2015

The Company carried around 317 thousand passengers on international flights in September. The number of passengers was up by 22% compared to September last year. The capacity increase compared to September 2014 was 17%. The passenger load factor was 83.1% compared to 79.8% last year. It is the Company’s highest ever load factor in September.

Passengers on regional flights and Greenland flights were 27 thousand in September, which was a 3% increase from September last year. The load factor was 77.8%, increasing by 2.7 percentage points compared to September 2014. Sold block hours in charter flights increased by 30% between years. Cargo transport increased by 5% year-on-year. The number of sold room nights at the Company’s hotels was up by 8% from previous year. The room utilization was 83.4%, 2.1 percentage points higher than in September 2014.
