JetBlue and Icelandair Become Codeshare Partners

Reykjavik, October 22, 2015 – Icelandair and JetBlue are happy to announce the bilateral codeshare partnership signed between the two carriers earlier this year has passed regulatory approval. With implementation of this partnership, travelers will gain easy connections between the two airlines’ networks, with a focus on Boston, New York-JFK and Reykjavik hubs.

Since 2011, both airlines have successfully partnered on an interline basis, and beginning today, Icelandair will offer codeshare flights on JetBlue allowing connections beyond their Boston and New York-JFK hubs to:

Austin, Texas (AUS)
Detroit, Michigan (DTW)
Orlando, Florida (MCO)
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (PIT)
Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina (RDU)
Washington D.C. (DCA)

Passengers traveling with Icelandair and JetBlue will enjoy both combined ticketing and baggage transfers when connecting between the two carriers, plus in-flight Wi-Fi Internet access, personal seat-back entertainment, two checked bags included, comfortable leather seating, and best-in-class customer service.

Icelandair offers direct service between Iceland and Boston, Chicago-ORD, Denver, Edmonton, New York-JFK, Newark, Seattle, Toronto, and Washington, D.C.; and seasonal service to Anchorage, Halifax, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Montreal, Orlando, Portland, OR, and Vancouver, BC. Connections through Icelandair’s hub at Keflavik International Airport are available to more than 20 destinations in Scandinavia, the U.K. and Continental Europe. Only Icelandair allows passengers to take an Icelandair Stopover for up to seven nights at no additional airfare.
