Ethiopian, the Second Airline in the Star Alliance Group and First in Africa to take delivery of the A350 XWB

Ethiopian Airlines, the fastest growing and the largest African airline, is only the second airline in the Star Alliance network after Singapore Airline to take delivery of the A350XWB. It is one of the most enjoyable, technologically innovative and fuel-efficient aircraft in the market today. The A350 XWB provides exceptional levels of comfort and reliability applying the latest technology for a totally unique passenger experience.

Ethiopian A350 XWB was built for passengers comfort and well-being. Wider seats in both Business and Economy classes, the lowest twin engine noise level, advanced air conditioning technology and full LED mood lighting enhance the comfort while reducing fatigue after a long flight.

Mr. Tewolde GebreMariam, Group CEO of Ethiopian airlines said, “We are proud to be leading the way again and present the A350 XWB to our continent. We are happy to be providing our passengers more travel options and industry latest technology. We are especially honoured to be the ones bringing these firsts to the continent. With an additional 13 A350XWB on order, we remain well prepared to accommodate the growing number of our passengers and to serve them better. ”

Ethiopian continues to operate one of the youngest, most fuel-efficient aircraft with an average fleet age of five years.

Ethiopian joined the Star Alliance, the biggest airline alliance in the world, in December 2011. Passengers can now enjoy the ultimate travel experience on board Ethiopian 1st A350XWB primarily to Lagos and Dubai.
