Wizz Air Announces Two New Routes From Bucharest To Billund And Hanover

Bucharest, 18 July 2016– Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe and the largest airline in Romania, today announced two new routes from Bucharest to Hanover and Billund commencing on 13 and 16 of December with two weekly frequencies on Tuesdays and Saturdays and Mondays and Fridays respectively. Seats on the new routes are already on sale and can be booked on wizzair.com from only RON 109*.

Billund is the home of the Lego Group and it is also known for its theme park, Legoland. The city is a popular destination for tourists, especially families with children. Since 2009 the town is also the home of Lalandia Billund, a waterpark and activity center. A number of other attractions like the Givskud Zoo and Kongernes Jelling – the home of the viking kings can be found in the area.

Hanover is a major center of Northern Germany with a population of 518,000 and the country’s thirteenth largest city. Now, with Wizz Air’s newest route, one can discover Hanover’s highlights, unique sights, relaxing gardens, including one on the most finest in Europe – the Herrenhausen Gardens- and so much more in the city and in the region. With today’s announcement, Hanover is becoming the newest 124th airport in the WIZZ network.

Already the largest airline in Romania, Wizz Air will grow its fleet to 20 aircraft in the country by the end of 2016, and will have a total of nine airports out of which seven are operating bases served by the young WIZZ fleet. Wizz Air currently offers 118 routes, fares on many starting at RON 39, from nine Romanian airports to 16 countries providing low-fare access between Romania and the rest of Europe for both business and leisure travelers. Additionally, Wizz Air’s operations around Romania this year will support more than 3,300 ⃰ ⃰ indirect jobs in associated industries such as tourism and hospitality services. With these new destinations WIZZ currently offers a total of 45 routes to 18 countries from Bucharest.
