Wizz Air Announces Two New Routes From Poland

Gdansk / Wroclaw, 19 July 2016: Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, today announced further expansion of its route network from Poland. From 1 November Wizz Air will start operating a new route from Wroclaw to the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv with two weekly flights, while from 14 January a new weekly WIZZ service will connect Gdansk with Grenoble in France. Kyiv is the 8th destination Wizz Air offers low-fare flights to from its Wroclaw base. The new route is expected to strengthen business relations between Poland and Ukraine as well as stimulate tourism and hospitality sectors in both countries.

Following Warsaw, Gdansk is the second WIZZ base in Poland the airline connects with Grenoble. Located in southeastern France, Grenoble is a popular destination among winter sport lovers, who can enjoy the region’s excellent cuisine and effervescent nightlife while spending an active yet relaxing holiday in the beautiful Alps.

With its newest Wroclaw and Gdansk services, Wizz Air now offers a total of 133 routes to 24 countries from its 8 Polish airports, providing affordable access between the country and the rest of Europe and beyond for both business and leisure travelers. The newest WIZZ services connect Poland with such exciting destinations as Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, Reykjavik in Iceland, Porto in Portugal or Alghero on the island of Sardinia.
