LOS ANGELES, CA—(Marketwired – Jul 28, 2016) – Imperial Capital, LLC (“Imperial Capital”), announced the hiring of Michael Derchin, a longtime airlines industry analyst, as a Managing Director and Senior Equity Analyst. Joining Mr. Derchin in Imperial Capital’s New York office is Adam Hackel. The hires reestablish Imperial Capital’s airline equity research with their specific industry coverage and extensive experience in the airline sector.

Michael Derchin joins Imperial Capital as a Managing Director and Senior Equity Analyst with an extensive background as a sell-side airline industry analyst and a buy-side airline industry investor. Prior to Imperial Capital, Mr. Derchin was a Senior Airline Analyst at Sterne Agee CRT for six years. In addition, Mr. Derchin served as an airline industry executive for the following companies: American Airlines, Pan American World Airways, and Mohawk Airlines. Mr. Derchin holds an MBA from City College of New York and a BA in Economics from Brooklyn College.

Adam Hackel joins Imperial Capital as an Associate in Equity Research and will work with Michael Derchin on coverage of the airline industry. Mr. Hackel began his career at Sterne Agee CRT as a Research Associate and has worked closely with Mr. Derchin for the past several years. Mr. Hackel holds a BA in Economics and a BA in Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin.
