Aircraft Recycling International Limited, a CALC’s Member Company, Appoints Alistair Dibisceglia as SVP - Technical

19 August 2016, Hong Kong – Aircraft Recycling International Limited (“ARI”) member company of China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited (“CALC”), the first provider of a full-line of used aircraft solutions in Asia, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Alistair Dibisceglia as SVP – Technical, with immediate effect. Based out of Dublin, Alistair will spend half of his time in Asia and work together with the board of management to also ensure smooth development of ARI’s aircraft disassembly business through its state of the art facilities and global network.

ARI is a member company of China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited (“CALC”), of which the lessor holds a 48% stake in. It is building an aircraft disassembly centre in Harbin, the first purpose-built disassembly facility in China and the largest of its kind in Asia, with an aim to develop it into a premier global disassembly base.

Christina Ng, Chief Commercial Officer of ARI, commented “Backed by CALC, ARI has already built up a solid foundation of aviation intelligence, technical skills and international market experience. We are delighted to have Alistair on board. His extensive experience in technical and asset management of aircraft portfolios is bringing a significant amount of knowledge to the team. He will now also lead the development of ARI’s aircraft portfolio in line with its business strategy, in additional to providing support for deal sourcing, evaluation and technical diligence.”

Alistair joins ARI and CALC with two decades of experience and demonstrated significant success in aircraft leasing and the aviation sector in general. Prior to joining ARI, Alistair was a Vice President with International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), AerCap and Castlelake where, among other duties, he was mainly responsible for negotiating, delivering, returning, managing, overseeing and repossessing Aircraft all over the world. Prior to the ILFC, he was Technical Director with various Airlines also responsible for the overall RFP process related to maintenance contracts under negotiation by the airline on top of all the Technical aspects. Alistair received his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering.
