Fitch Publishes Updated Criteria for Rating Aircraft EETCs

CHICAGO—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Fitch Ratings has published an update to its criteria for rating aircraft enhanced equipment trust certificates (EETCs). The report specifies Fitch’s methodology for assigning new, and monitoring existing international ratings, to aircraft EETCs globally.

This replaces the previous report of the same title, dated May 12, 2016. Modifications to the report include a reduction to the minimum number of aircraft required to achieve a ‘AA’ category rating from 10 to five for portfolios consisting of widebody aircraft. The report also modifies the liquidity facility provider ratings threshold for certificates rated in the ‘AA’ category.
