WIZZ AIR CELEBRATES 3 MILLION PASSENGERS FROM BUCHAREST AND CLUJ-NAPOCA TO LONDON LUTON

Bucharest, 27 September 2016: Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, and Romania’s largest airline, yesterday celebrated two memorable milestones in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca carrying its two and one millionth passenger on its low-fare London Luton routes from the two cities, respectively.

Both services started in 2007 and quickly became popular among savvy WIZZ customers. Wizz Air now operates 18th weekly flights from Bucharest and 14th from Cluj to London Luton providing Romanian passengers with plenty of opportunities to travel to the capital of the United Kingdom on an affordable price.

The two popular cities in Romania are also connected by Wizz Air’s first domestic route, which marked a significant development for Romanian air travel.

Wizz Air has currently 19th aircraft based at 7th Romanian airports employing over 600 dedicated crew, who deliver excellent onboard service on each WIZZ flight. Wizz Air’s operations, with a network of 119 routes to 18 countries, will this year support more than 3,300 jobs in associated industries throughout Romania*.

The two lucky milestone passengers, Diana Lupşan and Radu Mitrea travelled yesterday from Cluj and Bucharest to Luton. They had a pleasant surprise on board and were rewarded for their loyalty. Diana was extremely pleased and excited about WIZZ’s professional team and services provided on Wizz’s aircraft. Radu, passenger number 2 million from Bucharest to Luton said: “I frequently fly to this destination and I admit this is the first time for me in a WIZZ aircraft. But in the future, both my wife and I, we will choose to travel with Wizz Air because we were impressed by the atmosphere and the attitude of the crew."
