Beijing Capital Airlines Receives Its First Directly Purchased A330

Beijing Capital Airlines has received its first A330 directly purchased from Airbus in Toulouse, France. A subsidiary of HNA Group, Beijing Capital Airlines operates an all Airbus fleet of 70 A319s, A320s, A321s, four leased A330-200s and one A330-300.

“The delivery underscores our plan to operate an extensive regional and international network covering the tourism markets in Asia, Europe and America”, said Xu Jun, CEO of Beijing Capital Airlines. “We currently deploy Airbus A330s on our international routes to Copenhagen, Madrid and Maldives. The aircraft will be put into operation on our Qingdao to Vancouver route in December.”

The A330 Family has now attracted more than 1,630 orders. Almost 1,300 A330 Family aircraft have been delivered to some 120 operators worldwide. The A330 is one of the world’s most efficient aircraft with best in class operating economics. With numerous on-going product enhancements, the A330 Family remains the most cost-efficient and capable widebody aircraft with an operational reliability of 99.4 percent.
