Philip Van Manen joins Aviation Strategies International as Vice President, Professional Services

Aviation Strategies International (ASI) is pleased to announce that Mr. Philip Van Manen is joining its management team as Vice President, Professional Services.

Mr. Van Manen is an airport professional with over 20 years’ experience in the aviation industry and a unique background in both airport operations management and aviation consulting. He developed and managed multi-disciplinary teams at Toronto City Centre and Hamilton Airports in Canada and was a Senior Advisor at New Delhi International Airport in India. He has taught airport management and planning at the Canadian Aviation Institute at Georgian College in Ontario and for the International Association of Airport Executives (IAAE) across Canada. Most recently, he has worked in Calgary, Alberta expanding operations in Western Canada for MMM Group and WSP Canada, leading consulting engineering / planning teams in providing airport planning and design services for airports in cities such as Calgary, Grande Prairie, Saskatoon, Prince George, and Vancouver.

Mr. Van Manen holds a Master of Science in Airport Planning and Management from Loughborough University, an Honours Diploma in Airport Management and Operations from the Canadian Aviation Institute at Georgian College, and a Graduate Certificate in Terminal Design and Airport Planning from Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He is a member of IAAE as well as a past member of Canadian Airports Council / Airport Council International and the Airport Management Council of Ontario (AMCO).

The ASI team also congratulates Mr. Gilles Filiatreault, ASI’s Senior Associate, Airline Management, who will soon assume duties as Executive Chairman of the Management Board of InselAir, the national airline of CuraƧao.
