In January, the number of passengers traveling on airberlin worldwide amounted to 1,516,500 passengers. The number of revenue passenger kilometers (RPK) amounted to 2.717 billion.

At the start of the year, airberlin recorded a capacity of 2.165 million seats. The airline company with hubs in Berlin and Düsseldorf featured a total of 3.545 billion available seat kilometers (ASK).

The load factor for the first month of the year amounted to 76.6 percent.
