Wizz Air Holdings Plc: Promotion of Chief Operations Officer to Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer

Geneva, 20 March 2017: Wizz Air Holdings Plc (“Wizz Air” and the “Company”), the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, announces the promotion of Diederik Pen, Chief Operations Officer, to the role of Executive Vice President & Chief Operations Officer effective 1st April 2017.

Diederik Pen joined Wizz Air in January 2013 as Chief Operations Officer and has led the company’s operations team to deliver best-in-class, lowest cost and reliable operations for the airline. Wizz Air continues to achieve industry-leading utilization of over 12 hours a day of its fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft, which is one of the youngest fleets in Europe, and one of the lowest cancellation rates in the industry. Based in the Company’s Budapest operations headquarters and reporting to the Company’s Chief Executive Officer, the new position is a member of the Company’s executive team, with the Company’s Chief Flight Operations Officer and a number of other heads of functions as direct reports.
