Air India links Delhi to Dhaka with a direct flight

Air India linked Dhaka- the capital of Bangladesh with the Indian capital Delhi with a direct daily flight from today, 3rd December 2012, fulfilling a long-standing aspiration of the people of the two neighbouring countries.

Air India will operate the state-of-the-art Airbus 320 aircraft on this sector. The flight AI 0231 left from Delhi at 0545 hrs and reached Dhaka at 0845 hrs. On the return leg the flight AI 0232 left Dhaka at 0945 hours and reached Delhi at 1145 hours (all times local).

To those arriving in Delhi from Dhaka, the convenient flight schedule will offer direct onward connections from Delhi to London, Paris and Frankfurt besides direct flights to the USA and Gulf benefiting the passengers intending to travel abroad.

The inaugural flight coincided with the launch of the India Show – a conference organised by the trade and industrial bodies in Bangladesh- to explore and strengthen commercial relation between the two countries which will lend a fillip to the socio-cultural, commercial and diplomatic ties between the two countries as well.
