Delta Boosts Connectivity from Copenhagen to the Big Apple and Beyond

COPENHAGEN, June 2, 2015 – Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) will be offering customers flying from Copenhagen International Airport smoother connections to a number of U.S. destinations this summer via its hub in the newly extended Terminal 4 at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

The daily nonstop flight, operated in conjunction with joint venture partner Air France-KLM, will restart June 3, 2015, using a 167-seat Boeing 757-200 aircraft. Customers connecting to destinations including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Orlando will benefit from same-terminal transfers thanks to the new $175 million extension of Delta’s Terminal 4 at New York-JFK.

“This summer we will offer almost 2,300 weekly seats between Copenhagen and New York and around 40% of these passengers will have onward connections to other U.S. cities,” said Perry Cantarutti, Delta’s senior vice president Europe, Middle East and Africa. “Copenhagen is a popular destination for U.S. tourists, particularly cruise passengers, and by improving transfers at JFK we’ve made it easier for more visitors to fly to this wonderful city.”

The Copenhagen to New York-JFK schedule is as follows:

Flight number

Copenhagen at 8:20 a.m.

New York-JFK at 11:00 a.m.

New York-JFK at 4:40 p.m.

Copenhagen at 6:50 a.m. next day

International passengers flying in Delta’s business class cabin, Delta One, enjoy a full range of premium products for a comfortable, relaxed, and productive in-flight experience. These include fully flat-bed seats with Westin Heavenly Inflight Bedding from Westin Hotels & Resorts. Delta offers fine dining onboard with chef-inspired menus accompanied by wines selected by Master Sommelier, Andrea Robinson.

Customers flying in Delta Comfort+, Delta’s premium economy service, benefit from up to four additional inches of legroom and 50 percent more recline than Delta’s standard international Main Cabin seats, as well as priority boarding. Other product initiatives being rolled out across Delta’s international fleet include the expansion of Wi-Fi service.

Delta unveiled the newest expansion to Terminal 4 at New York-JFK in January 2015. The project added 11 new gates and 75,000 square feet to Concourse B and continues Delta’s $1.2 billion investment to enhance and expand Terminal 4. The new gates at Terminal 4 all feature enclosed jetways and offer customers proximity to a flagship Delta Sky Club and access to chef-inspired restaurants.
