Wizz Air Celebrates The Expansion Of Its Operations In Serbia

Wizz Air, celebrated today its expansion in Serbia with a Special Seat Sale slashing up to 30%* off on all flights, on bookings made today, 19 May, until midnight. On this day, the second based aircraft joins the Belgrade fleet, four new routes are commencing this week and passenger traffic has increased by 27% during the first four months of 2017 compared to the same period last year. The new aircraft represents an investment of further $ 99 million** by WIZZ in Serbia, and will create 36 additional direct jobs with Wizz Air in Belgrade. The new routes, long-awaited by Serbian travellers, to Friedrichshafen, Nuremberg, Hanover and Malta will each be operated withtwo weekly frequencies. Along with the new connections, WIZZ is increasing the weekly frequencies to some of the most popular destinations from Belgrade and offering more opportunities to its customers to travel to Malmo (5 flights/week), Dortmund and Eindhoven (4 flights/ week), Gothenburg, Munich Memmingen and Stockholm Skavsta (3 flights/week).

Since the beginning of 2017, almost 190,000 Serbian passengers have enjoyed WIZZ low-fare services, representing a traffic growth of 27% year on year. With the second aircraft delivery, the total seat capacity on sale for 2017 is increasing by 39%, offering more than 835,000 seats on 20routes to7 countries available from two Serbian airports: Belgrade and Niš.
