Abra Group Agrees to Acquire Up to 45 Embraer E195-E2 Aircraft

Abra Group has signed an agreement with Embraer to acquire up to 45 E195-E2 aircraft, supporting the aviation group’s long-term fleet growth and regional connectivity strategy across Latin America.

The agreement includes firm orders for 20 E195-E2 aircraft, together with 10 purchase options and 15 purchase rights. Deliveries are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2027, with the order to be added to Embraer’s backlog once all conditions are satisfied.

The E195-E2 will provide Abra with additional fleet flexibility across its portfolio of airlines, including Avianca, GOL and Wamos Air, allowing the group to better match aircraft capacity with demand, open new routes and increase frequencies in domestic and regional markets. Powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines, the aircraft offers lower fuel consumption, reduced emissions and improved operating economics compared with previous-generation regional jets.

The agreement forms part of Abra’s strategy to expand connectivity across Latin America while investing in next-generation aircraft that enhance operational efficiency and passenger experience.
