AerCap Signs Lease Agreements with Turkish Airlines for Two Boeing 777-300ERSF Freighters

AerCap has signed lease agreements with Turkish Airlines for two Boeing 777-300ERSF converted freighters, with deliveries scheduled between March and September 2027.

The aircraft will undergo passenger-to-freighter conversion at Etihad Engineering’s maintenance, repair and overhaul facility in Abu Dhabi before entering service with Turkish Airlines.

The agreement will provide additional dedicated cargo capacity for Turkish Airlines, expanding its freighter operations with converted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

The Abu Dhabi conversion facility serves as a regional hub for AerCap’s 777-300ERSF programme, supporting aircraft conversions and deliveries to customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

AerCap delivered its first 777-300ERSF to launch customer Kalitta Air in September 2025 and has subsequently delivered aircraft to Fly Meta. The lessor has also signed lease agreements for the type with Ethiopian Airlines and China Southern Group.

The Boeing 777-300ERSF programme continues to expand as AerCap places converted widebody freighters with cargo operators seeking additional capacity.

Financial terms of the Turkish Airlines leases, including lease durations and aircraft serial numbers, were not disclosed.
