Aircalin Expands Fleet Readiness Through Operational Partnerships

Aircalin has launched a series of operational partnerships with Corsair, Air Corsica and French Bee to strengthen fleet reliability, enhance pilot training and support the introduction of its Airbus A350-900 fleet.

The carrier has signed a technical support agreement with Corsair covering its Airbus A330neo fleet. Under the partnership, Corsair will provide maintenance support during Aircalin’s Paris stopovers on the Nouméa–Bangkok–Paris route and monitor operations on the Paris–Bangkok sector. The agreement leverages both airlines’ experience operating Rolls-Royce Trent 7000-powered A330neo aircraft and complements Aircalin’s existing engine support arrangement with Rolls-Royce.

Aircalin is also exploring an operational partnership with Air Corsica to support pilot recruitment and training for its Airbus A320neo fleet. The proposed collaboration would focus on sharing training resources and operational expertise as both airlines manage fleet growth and pilot development.

In preparation for the arrival of its first Airbus A350-900 at the end of 2026, Aircalin has partnered with French Bee to train its future A350 instructor pilots. Following initial type training at Airbus in Toulouse, Aircalin’s instructor pilots will complete a three-month operational certification program with French Bee, gaining line experience before the aircraft enters commercial service.

Aircalin said the three partnerships are designed to improve fleet availability, operational reliability and crew readiness while supporting the airline’s long-term fleet expansion and maintaining high standards of safety and punctuality.
