Azorra acquired one Airbus A330-200, MSN 1161, from TrueNoord, expanding its widebody portfolio. The aircraft is currently on lease to Maldivian Airlines, adding the Maldives flag carrier as a new customer and operating jurisdiction for Azorra.
The transaction increases Azorra’s portfolio to 194 owned and managed aircraft, including six widebodies, and builds on previous acquisitions of Airbus A330 and 777-300ER aircraft. The lessor said it continues to pursue widebody opportunities offering attractive long-term value and demand.
Azorra President Ron Baur said the acquisition reflects the company’s confidence in the widebody market and described the A330 as a versatile aircraft with strong operator demand.
