beOnd has announced a US$20 million investment in its next-generation premium cabin product through an agreement with Italian aircraft seating manufacturer Optimares.
The investment covers four complete shipsets comprising 256 bespoke lie-flat seats, which will be installed on four incoming Airbus A321 aircraft currently being prepared for entry into the airline’s fleet. The retrofit program is intended to ensure a consistent onboard product as beOnd expands its network across Europe and other international markets.
Designed exclusively for beOnd’s all-premium cabin concept, the new Optimares seats combine lie-flat comfort with ergonomic design and enhanced passenger privacy. The airline said the investment represents one of its largest commitments to the passenger experience since its launch.
The agreement further strengthens the partnership between beOnd and Optimares while supporting the airline’s strategy of growing its premium leisure offering through fleet expansion and a standardized onboard product.
