German Airways Completes Acquisition of Five Embraer E190 Aircraft

German Airways has completed the acquisition and financing of five Embraer E190 regional aircraft, marking another step in the airline’s fleet expansion and modernization strategy.

Parent company Kolibri Beteiligung GmbH announced that the transaction closed as scheduled on July 30. The financing was arranged with a specialist aircraft finance provider under standard market terms and remains within the financial indebtedness limits established under the company’s Nordic Bond issued in February 2026.

The addition of the five Embraer E190s advances German Airways’ previously announced fleet renewal plan, strengthening the carrier’s regional aircraft portfolio.
