GOAL Aircraft Leasing and AviLease complete Purchase and Sale of two (2) A350-900 with lease attached
Munich, Germany, 09th February 2026 – GOAL Aircraft Leasing (GOAL), has successfully sold and delivered two Airbus A350-900 aircraft to global aircraft lessor AviLease. Both aircraft are subject to long-term lease agreements with Fiji’s national carrier, Fiji Airways.
The first aircraft was delivered to AviLease at the end of December 2025, followed by the second delivery at the end of January 2026. Both A350s were placed on lease with Fiji Airways. One aircraft was held by a KGAL fund, while the other was owned by a US-based investor. GOAL Aircraft Leasing structured and managed both the original purchase and lease transaction in 2023 as well as the subsequent sale with the leases attached.
Christian Schloemann, Managing Director of GOAL commented: “We are pleased to have successfully completed the first divestment of an aircraft from this KGAL fund, as well as from our US investment partner and would like to congratulate AviLease on this acquisition and thank them for their professional and cooperative approach. GOAL applied its full range of capabilities to acquire these two A350-900 aircraft without a lessee and to place them with a reputable airline such as Fiji Airways. This transaction clearly demonstrates the success of the opportunistic investment strategies pursued by both equity investors. We look forward to identifying further aircraft opportunities to reinvest the available liquidity.”
Gary O’Donnell, EVP & Head of Trading of AviLease said: “We are delighted to have completed the acquisition of these two A350-900 new technology widebody aircraft in partnership with GOAL Aircraft Leasing. We are proud to welcome Fiji Airways as a new customer and partner for AviLease. We also extend our sincere thanks to the GOAL team for their support and cooperation, which ensured that these transactions were closed smoothly and efficiently.”
