HK Express Announces New Route to Chiang Rai with HKD78* Flights

Hong Kong, 28 July 2016 HK Express announced some fantastic news today: The low-fare airline will be launching nonstop flight to Chiang Rai, making it the first airline in Hong Kong to offer scheduled service to this enchanting city. Soon enough, Hong Kong travellers will be able to taste the fantastic food, soak up the natural beauty and explore ancient temples in this northern region of Thailand.

HK Express is pleased to announce that ticket sales commence today, with flights departing twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays starting from 25 Nov 2016. To enhance excitement, HK Express is raising the bar with a special launch fare of HKD78* valid until 31 July 2016. Guests can book tickets and fly between 25 Nov 2016 and 25 Mar 2017.

“Hong Kong travellers love to explore off-the-beaten-track destinations, and we’re thrilled to be able to provide the only nonstop flight to Chiang Rai,” said Andrew Cowen, Director and CEO of HK Express. “The second half of the year will be filled with announcements to a mix of new destinations for every type of traveller, whether you’re after a beach break or a city retreat.”

Chiang Mai has proven to be a hit for our Guests over the last several years, so the airline is confident nearby Chiang Rai will also prove to be a new-found, popular destination. The vibrant northern city is full of attractions, including the glistening white Wat Rong Khun, Sakura Mountain, a bustling night bazaar, coffee plantations, and historic architecture.

For those planning more extensive trips, Chiang Rai is a fantastic place to start. The city is only a short distance from the Golden Triangle — the phenomenally beautiful area where Laos, Myanmar and Thailand converge.
