Jesús Nuño de la Rosa Ends His Tenure as CEO of Air Europa

Madrid, November 17, 2025 – Juan José Hidalgo, Chairman of Air Europa, and Jesús Nuño de la Rosa, Executive Director of the Company, have reached an agreement whereby the latter will step down from his position and responsibilities at Air Europa.

This agreement, signed in a friendly and cordial atmosphere, has been approved by the Air Europa Board of Directors.

Likewise, César Hernández Blanco and Juan Manuel Bujía, SEPI representatives on the Air Europa Board of Directors, have resigned as directors of the company. This decision comes within the context of the company’s current situation, which has made an early repayment of the loan granted by SEPI, one year ahead of the originally scheduled date.

The departure of both SEPI directors coincides with Jesús Nuño de la Rosa’s departure as CEO of Air Europa.

Air Europa thanks Jesús Nuño de la Rosa for his commitment, dedication, and loyalty during his tenure as Chairman of the Board since July 2022. The company also expresses its gratitude to César Hernández Blanco and Juan Manuel Bujía for their work and commitment during their time on the Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors will be renewed in the coming days, and this will be communicated promptly through the company’s official channels.
