Luxair Expands Boeing 737 Order with Additional 737-10 Aircraft

Luxair has expanded its Boeing narrowbody fleet commitment by converting two options for the 737-10 into firm orders while securing purchase rights for two additional aircraft.

Announced at the Farnborough International Airshow, the agreement increases the Luxembourg flag carrier’s firm Boeing order book to 12 aircraft, comprising eight 737-8s and four 737-10s. The additional options provide flexibility to support future fleet growth as market demand evolves.

The 737-10 will be configured with 213 seats and deployed on high-demand leisure and business routes. Boeing said the aircraft offers the lowest per-seat operating costs of any single-aisle aircraft, while reducing fuel consumption and carbon emissions by approximately 20% compared with the aircraft it replaces. Powered by CFM LEAP-1B engines, the aircraft will also feature Boeing Sky Interior cabins, USB-C charging at every seat and wireless in-flight entertainment.

Once all firm orders are delivered, Luxair’s Boeing fleet will consist of 12 next-generation aircraft, supporting the airline’s long-term strategy to increase capacity, improve operating efficiency and enhance passenger experience.
