Mauritania Airlines International is preparing to sell three Embraer aircraft as the state-owned carrier moves to dispose of two E175s and one ERJ-145LR from its fleet.
The aircraft identified for sale are E175s registered 5T-CLO and 5T-CLL and ERJ-145LR 5T-CLD. The airline and Mauritania’s Ministry of Equipment and Transport have launched an international process to appoint an independent aviation consultancy to value the aircraft and support the planned disposals.
The selected adviser will inspect the aircraft and their technical and airworthiness records, assess maintenance status and configuration, and analyze the international market for E175 and ERJ-145 aircraft. The work will establish current market, base and rapid-sale values for each aircraft and assess potential costs associated with preparing them for sale.
The mandate also includes evaluating major components and potential dismantling scenarios where appropriate, as well as identifying measures that could improve aircraft values before disposal. The adviser will ultimately provide technical and financial analysis to help establish reserve prices and compare potential sale strategies.
The valuation assignment is expected to take approximately eight weeks following appointment of the consultant. Mauritania Airlines will remain the contracting party, while an ad hoc government commission will oversee the aircraft sale process.
Expressions of interest for the advisory mandate are due November 2, 2026.
