Patriot Dynamics has signed an agreement with CFM International to purchase six LEAP spare engines, expanding its engine leasing portfolio to support Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX operators.
The agreement covers three LEAP-1A engines, used on the Airbus A320neo family, and three LEAP-1B engines, which power the Boeing 737 MAX family. It marks the first purchase agreement between Patriot Dynamics and CFM International.
The acquisition forms part of Patriot Dynamics’ strategy to expand its spare engine portfolio while diversifying its investment fund structure and increasing its exposure to next-generation commercial aircraft engines.
Demand for LEAP spare engines continues to be supported by the growing global fleets of A320neo and 737 MAX aircraft, along with operators’ requirements for maintenance coverage and replacement engine availability.
Since entering commercial service a decade ago, the LEAP engine family has accumulated more than 100 million flight hours, with CFM delivering over 10,000 engines worldwide.
CFM continues to introduce durability improvements across the LEAP fleet, including a high-pressure turbine durability kit designed to extend time on wing and a reverse bleed system.
The companies did not disclose the purchase price, delivery schedule or intended lease placements for the six engines.
