Philippine Airlines Commits to Up to 20 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners

Philippine Airlines has committed to order up to 20 Boeing 787-10 Dreamliners, comprising 15 firm aircraft with options for five additional jets, to support its long-haul fleet renewal and expansion strategy.

The 787-10s will complement the airline’s existing fleet of Boeing 777 aircraft, providing greater flexibility across medium- and long-haul routes while improving fuel efficiency and reducing operating costs. Boeing said the aircraft consumes 25% less fuel than the widebody aircraft it typically replaces.

The commitment comes as Philippine Airlines marks 85 years of operations and 80 years of partnership with Boeing. The airline said the new aircraft will enhance the passenger experience while supporting its long-term sustainability objectives and growing international network.
