Porter Secures BNDES Financing for Up to 19 Embraer E195-E2 Deliveries

Porter Aviation Holdings, the parent company of Porter Airlines, has secured a financing commitment from the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) covering up to 19 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft scheduled for delivery through December 2030.

The financing supports aircraft from Porter’s existing firm order for 75 E195-E2s, of which 54 have already been delivered. The facility is backed by export credit insurance from Brazil’s Export Credit Guarantee Fund (FGE), managed by the Brazilian Agency for Guarantee Funds and Guarantees (ABGF).

Porter said the agreement secures financing for the majority of its remaining firm E195-E2 order and provides long-term support for the airline’s continued expansion across North America. Since introducing the type in 2023, the carrier has expanded its network throughout Canada, the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean.

BNDES said the financing supports exports of Embraer’s latest-generation aircraft while promoting more fuel-efficient technology in the North American aviation market. Embraer noted that Porter has become one of the world’s largest E2 operators, with the growing fleet reinforcing the long-standing partnership between the manufacturer, the airline and BNDES.
