Saudia and Garuda Indonesia Sign MoU to Expand Partnership

Saudia and Garuda Indonesia have signed a memorandum of understanding to advance a future joint business partnership aimed at strengthening connectivity between Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and beyond.

The agreement builds on the airlines’ existing codeshare relationship and SkyTeam alliance membership, with both carriers exploring the introduction of single-ticket travel across their combined networks. The partnership would link Garuda Indonesia’s network in Indonesia and Australia with Saudia’s destinations across the Middle East, Europe and Africa.

The MoU also outlines potential cooperation in network planning, flight scheduling, sales, marketing, loyalty programs, technology, airport services and travel for Umrah and Hajj pilgrims between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.

The expanded partnership is intended to enhance travel options for passengers while strengthening one of the region’s key aviation corridors for tourism, business and religious travel.
