SCAT Airlines to Launch Cargo Operations with Boeing 767-300BCF

SCAT Airlines will launch dedicated cargo operations after reaching an agreement with Boeing to convert a Boeing 767-300ER into a Boeing Converted Freighter (767-300BCF).

Announced at the Farnborough International Airshow, the aircraft will become the first 767-300BCF to operate in Kazakhstan, supporting the airline’s entry into the general freight and express cargo markets. The freighter will enable SCAT Airlines to capitalize on growing cargo demand between Asia, the Middle East and Europe while supporting Kazakhstan’s ambitions to become a regional air cargo hub.

The 767-300BCF can carry up to 57 tonnes of payload over a range of 3,345 nautical miles (6,190 kilometers) and offers more than 444 cubic meters of cargo volume, making it well suited for medium widebody freight operations and expanding e-commerce demand.

The conversion will be performed by Boeing, adding to the manufacturer’s global freighter conversion program as demand for dedicated cargo aircraft continues to grow across Central Asia.
