LOS ANGELES, October 24, 2016 – Singapore Airlines (SIA) has launched its first-ever flights from Los Angeles to Seoul (Incheon), with continuing service to Singapore. The inaugural SQ07 flight departed Los Angeles International Airport on Sunday, October 23 at approximately 6:00 p.m. and will operate as a daily service.

“We’re excited to offer Angelenos a new option for world-class travel to Seoul, together with the convenience of double-daily flights to Singapore and beyond to more than 50 destinations in Asia” said Mr. Sek Eng Lee, Regional Vice President, Americas for Singapore Airlines. “Our goal is to provide not only industry-leading service, but also the enhanced value of the only Premium Economy cabin available on the competitive LAX-Seoul route.”

Singapore Airlines will operate Boeing 777-300 Extended Range aircraft on the route, providing a total of 264 seats in four classes, including First, Business, Premium Economy and Economy. In addition to SIA’s latest-generation Economy Class and Business Class cabins, the new flight also introduces SIA’s updated First Class seating, a luxurious new inflight experience designed by Los Angeles-based BMW DesignWorks.

A new daily service, SQ 7 departs Los Angeles at 5:15 p.m., arriving at Seoul (Incheon) at 10:30 p.m. the following day. After a short layover, the flight departs Seoul at 12:35 a.m. and arrives at Singapore Changi Airport at 6:55 a.m. (two days after LAX departure).

The new Los Angeles-to-Seoul service is being launched simultaneously with SIA’s resumption of nonstop flights from the U.S. to Singapore. SQ31, a new Airbus A350-900 aircraft and the 10,000th delivery from the manufacturer, also debuted on October 23 with a new flight from San Francisco to Singapore. On October 30, SIA will also launch new flights from Houston to Manchester using Boeing 777 aircraft and operating five times each week.
