Tigerair Taiwan Selects Pratt & Whitney GTF Engines for 15 Additional A321neo Aircraft

Pratt & Whitney has signed a memorandum of understanding with Tigerair Taiwan to supply GTF engines for 15 Airbus A321neo aircraft, comprising four firm orders and 11 leased aircraft, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2028.

The agreement extends the long-standing partnership between the two companies and includes a 12-year EngineWise Comprehensive services agreement covering engine maintenance. Tigerair Taiwan currently operates nine GTF-powered A320neo family aircraft alongside nine A320ceos equipped with IAE V2500 engines.

The additional A321neos will support the airline’s regional expansion while benefiting from the GTF engine’s lower fuel consumption, reduced noise footprint and improved operating economics.

The latest commitment reinforces Pratt & Whitney’s position as the exclusive engine supplier for Tigerair Taiwan’s fleet as the carrier continues its fleet modernization and growth strategy.
