Brazilian CVM Registers LAN Airlines as a Foreign Issuer
Santiago, September 2, 2011. LAN Airlines S.A. (“LAN” or “the Company”) announces that the Brazilian Commissao de Valores Mobiliários (CVM) today registered the Company as a foreign issuer.
This represents a necessary step in the business combination process between LAN and Brazilian airline TAM S.A. The transaction remains subject to the necessary regulatory, shareholder and other applicable authorizations, including the approval of the Tribunal de Defensa de la Libre Competencia, the Chilean antitrust court.
