AEA appoints Mildred Trögeler as General Manager Technical & Operations

The Association of European Airlines today announced that Mildred Trögeler has been appointed to the post of General Manager Technical & Operations. Mildred takes over from Vincent De Vroey who is moving to the AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD) as Director of Civil Aviation.

AEA’s CEO Athar Husain Khan commented: "We are delighted to announce Mildred’s appointment. We are confident that she is well placed to continue the important work of achieving AEA’s objectives in the field of Technical and Operations. In her new role she will be a valuable asset for AEA and its members.”

Prior to joining the AEA, Mildred Trögeler gained international experience in the aerospace field at DLR (German Aerospace Center) working closely with EU Member States, the United Nations and the European Space Agency. She is a German lawyer with an Advanced LL.M. in Aviation and Space Law from the University of Leiden (the Netherlands), specialised in Economics and Competition law.

I will also continue to strengthen AEA’s position as a constructive and reliable partner in the dialogue with EU institutions, Member States and relevant stakeholders.” said Mildred Trögeler.
