Aer Lingus Group plc: Traffic Statistics – December 2012

Dublin & London, 7 January 2013: Aer Lingus Group plc (“Aer Lingus”), today announced traffic statistics for the month of December 2012.

Total flown passenger numbers, including Aer Lingus Regional operations, increased by 7.2% to 734,000 in December 2012 compared to December 2011.

Short haul flown passengers, including Aer Lingus Regional, in December 2012 were 658,000, an increase of 6.5% on December 2011, while long haul flown passengers in December 2012 were 76,000, an increase of 13.4% on December 2011.

Aer Lingus mainline’s flown passenger load factor in December 2012 increased by 2.9 points on December 2011 to 70.9%. Short haul flown load factor was 66.6%, an increase of 0.7 points on December 2011, with capacity decreasing by 2.5%. Long haul flown load factor was 77.7%, an increase of 6.1 points on December 2011, with capacity increasing by 4.5% on prior year.
