Aeroflot Sets in Operation Its Fourth SSJ-100 in Full Specification

December 31, 2013, Moscow. — Aeroflot took delivery of the fourth Sukhoi SuperJet 100 «Ivan Orlovets» in full specification made by JSC «Sukhoi Civil Aircraft» (SCAC).

The aircraft is named after Ivan Vlasovich Orlovets, a veteran of World War II, Honored Pilot of the USSR.

Sukhoi SuperJet 100 aircraft (registration number RA- 89022) was handed over to Aeroflot under the financial lease agreement with VEB-Leasing. The jet is designed in two-class composition with 12 seats in business class and 75 seats in economy class. Maximum flight range is 2.400 km.

With its brand new SSJ-100 airplanes Aeroflot is implementing one of the crucial parts of its Strategy, which is to establish a global airline network and strengthen its leadership in the domestic air transport market. SSJ- 100 aircraft are an important part of Aeroflot’s fleet, which is one of the youngest and most technologically advanced in Europe. In total, Aeroflot ordered 30 SSJ- 100’s.

Sukhoi Superjet 100 is a new generation regional jet designed, developed and manufactured by JSC “Sukhoi Civil Aircraft” with the participation of Alenia Aeronautica. SSJ- 100 made its first flight on May 19, 2008. In January 2011, the SSJ- 100 received its IAC AR certificate.
